OCTA ("we", "our", or "us") operates the OCTA mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

  • Date of birth (optional, for age verification)

User-Generated Content:

  • Fight predictions and picks
  • Forum posts, threads, and comments
  • Group messages
  • User profile information

Subscription Information:

  • Subscription status and type (via RevenueCat)
  • Purchase history and transaction data (handled by Apple/RevenueCat)

2. Information Automatically Collected

Usage Data:

  • App interactions and feature usage
  • Device information (model, OS version, device ID)
  • App version and build number
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data

Analytics:

  • Pages viewed
  • Features used
  • Session duration
  • Performance metrics

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

  1. Providing Core Features: User authentication, storing picks, leaderboards, forum participation
  2. Service Improvement: Analyzing usage, fixing bugs, developing new features
  3. Subscription Management: Processing premium subscriptions via RevenueCat and Apple
  4. Communications: Account-related emails, push notifications (if enabled), service announcements
  5. Safety and Security: Detecting fraud, enforcing Terms of Service, protecting users

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase (Data Storage & Authentication)
  • RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
  • Apple App Store (Payments)
  • Cloudflare (Data Sync)

Third-Party Content

OCTA displays publicly available information about UFC fighters, events, and fight statistics sourced from official UFC data and public sports statistics websites. This is factual sports information similar to what's displayed on ESPN and other sports applications. We do not claim ownership of UFC trademarks or official UFC imagery.


Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your personal information.

We may share your information only in these circumstances:

  • Public Information: Your username, display name, avatar, and content are visible to other users
  • Service Providers: With Supabase, RevenueCat, and other essential services
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition (with notification)

Data Storage and Security

Storage Location: Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers in the United States.

Security Measures:

  • All data transmitted is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Database access protected with row-level security
  • Restricted and logged access to backend systems

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of optional communications

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of data sale (we don't sell data).

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

EU/EEA residents have rights to access, rectify, erase, port data, and object to processing.


Children's Privacy

OCTA is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


Push Notifications

If enabled, we'll send event reminders and community notifications. You can disable these in iOS Settings → OCTA → Notifications.


Cookies and Tracking

OCTA does not use cookies (mobile app). We collect anonymous analytics and crash reports. We do NOT track you across other apps or websites.


Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app and on this page. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
